The Groomer

Hello! I am Groomer Chris. My wife, Victoria, started our grooming business seven years ago in Maryville, Tennessee. Full disclosure here--if you had told me ten years ago that I would 1. live in Colorado 2. I would be running a successful mobile grooming business 3. I would be the one doing the grooming--I would have called you crazy. After moving to Colorado six years ago, Victoria continued to build her grooming business at a veterinarian's office in Broomfield, while I continued to climb the corporate ladder with Walgreens. I wouldn't recommend it. When my beloved decided that she wanted babies, we made a seemingly crazy decision at the time to begin to split the grooming duties. I would eventually attend grooming school--something Victoria never was able to do--and we began to transition Victoria from full-time groomer to full-time Mom. Since then, we have moved the business from the veterinarians office to fully mobile. When I express to many of you how thankful I am that you've encouraged and supported us, I mean it! We would not have this special story, nor would Victoria be able to stay home with our children, if you hadn't been there for us.

Because of this--and probably a dislike for corporate sales based structures--I deeply desire to be different. I'm not going to detail everything here for others to imitate, but we view what we do as an extension of your pet's veterinary care. Quite frankly, I strive to be fairer and friendlier than what many veterinary practices have become--I've said too much. Your dog's safety, health, happiness, and aesthetics are what we think about often and we promise to do this for one price and treat you and yours the way that we want to be treated. In addition to this mindset, we are able to provide you with breed standard and custom trims for your dog. I like to think that we are very balanced in the most important areas of mobile grooming. I also strive to be transparent with the way we operate things--sometimes too transparent. What I have found in nearly three years of doing this on my own is it works for the people that it's supposed to work for. We have built a pack of well over 200 people AND, of course, their dogs. Many of you have become family. I trust that you know who you are.

In 2025, we are going to work on finding the right balance. If you were with us in 2024, you know that we burned the candle at both ends. I don't intend on hiring anyone right now because you all are very special to me and we like having the control over the work and how you and yours are treated. If and when that changes, it will be because we found someone special that is worthy of you and your dogs!
